Stuff I love about Snow the Vampire Slayer

I don’t feature many authors, but when I do, I only feature ones with stuff I love!

Welcome Rebekah Ganiere, and presenting her book

Snow the Vampire Slayer

The first thing you can’t help but notice is this cover. It is fabulous and just like the story, Rebekah oversaw every detail of it–she actually had a photo shoot to create it. I can’t imagine any better way to ensure the cover was exactly how you envisoned it. How awesome is that!

Psst…Another thing I adore is this title!

I know, after that gorgeous cover, you’re dying to find out about the book so here, check out the BLURB:

Lady Snow Gwyn is tired of playing “mother” to her seven Vampire Slaying brothers. For the past two years, she’s yearned to be out there fighting at their side as they hunt for bloodsuckers in the black of night. Snow is as good a fighter as any man, but she wasn’t called to be a Slayer. A mere formality in her book.

Prince Sageren, Son of Lothar has spent the last fifty years in exile, awaiting the day when he can finally avenge his family and take back his throne. Barely existing, he’s forced to face his inner demons and the monster he once was, compelling him to vow to never drink from humans again. A simple enough task–until he crosses paths with a human who makes his fangs ache to drain her.
When Snow runs into Prince Sage on a late night trip to the woods, she’s torn between the urge to kill him and the desire to succumb to the feeling he stirs within her. And when Snow’s life is threatened by the same evil that murdered his family, Prince Sage must enlist the aid of Snow’s brothers to not only help him save her life, but to also regain his rightful place as King of the Vampires.
If Sage can keep the Slayers from killing him first.

Some cool stuff about the author, Rebekah Ganiere

Rebekah’s son is in that adorable subaru commerical where he’s taking the keys and driving the car. You can take a look at that, and other stuff Rebekah has on her youtube page including her book trailers for Snow the Vampire Slayer, as well as her other books.

Also…I’d still be worried about the snake. (read the excerpt then see the bio if you want to know what I’m talking about)

And then…more stuff about the book. First…Enjoy this excerpt and then go check out Rebekah’s links and stuff

Snow wriggled underneath him trying to get free. Why was she always on the ground? His strong body pressed into hers, heating her blood and quickening her heartbeat.
“Stop moving,” he said. “You’re making this hard for me to remain calm.”
“Tell me what you need!” she demanded.
“I need to drink your blood,” he yelled.
Snow stopped struggling. Her breath caught and her gaze locked on his as terror ran through her. Memories of Sonya’s mouth on her neck, feeling the life drain out of her. The pain, the helplessness. All of it flooded in.
Sage lowered his head with a heavy, defeated breath. “It’s the only way.” He rolled off her and crouched on the floor by a curio.
His face darkened and his fangs gleamed in the candlelight. For the first time she saw him clearly for what he was. Sage was kind, and gentle, and strong. But he was also a vampire. He was like Sonya, and the ones her brothers killed. He was a killer, albeit that he no longer fed from humans, he had once.
“How many humans have you killed?” she whispered.
Sage’s eyes turned sad and pleaded with her not to ask.
“How many?”
“Many.” He hung his head between his knees. “I was spoiled and indulgent. I was given whatever I wanted. I thought for no one but myself.”
Snow sat up, her body aching from the stone floor. “A hundred?”
He didn’t look up.
“A thousand? Two?” she asked in an almost inaudible voice
He met her gaze, his lips drew into a tight grim line.
Her body shook. She no longer wanted to know. “How long has it been since you’ve drunk from a human?”
“Over fifty years.”
Hope sprung within her. “So you’re good now.”
“No.” He shook his head. “I’m not. I’m a monster and always will be. No matter how many people I don’t kill, it doesn’t matter. The blood of the ones I have killed, still haunts me.”
Snow crawled toward him, but he shied away.
“You should go. Leave this place. Return to your brothers and your home. Find a royal human male. Marry him and have many chubby children. Leave the fate of those in Tanah Darah to me.”
“Is that really what you want?” She moved closer still. “Do you really want me to go?”
“There is no hope for us, Snow. No life that we can live in peace. You saw what happened with Sonya. If you stayed here, I would have to fight off all the friends I have left, just to keep you safe.”
Snow’s heart crumbled at his words. She knew he was right. The game they’d been playing was never to last. She couldn’t leave her brothers, and he would never stop trying to regain his kingdom. But it didn’t matter. Nothing else mattered. Right now, all she could do was heal him.

So tell me… what’s your favorite fairy tale?
